I am a graduate of Nottingham University Medical School and a full-time substantive consultant at Wirral University Teaching Hospital. I have over twenty years' NHS experience as a consultant in general internal medicine, diabetes and endocrinology.
I have extensive experience in treating transgender people and have been supporting both trans and non-binary people and their clinicians in the management of their specific endocrine needs for over a decade.
I have been instrumental in the development of the Cheshire and Mersey Adult Gender Collaborative (CMAGIC) pilot for NHS England providing specialist services for trans and non-binary people on Cheshire and Merseyside and am the consultant endocrinologist in this pilot.
